Product Description

Carbo 20 (Carbosulfan 20% EC) is a broad-spectrum contact, stomach and systemic-acting insecticide formulated as an Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC), belonging to the Carbamate chemical group. It controls leaf folders, thrips, hispa and leaf rollers on paddy; aphids, whiteflies and pod borers on beans and pulses; fruit borers, whiteflies and aphids on tomato and chili; diamondback moth and aphids on cabbage and cauliflower; and fall armyworm on maize.

Mode of Action

• Carbo 20 is a Group 1A (Carbamate) insecticide that works by contact, stomach action and systemic uptake.
• It inhibits the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme in the pest's nervous system, causing rapid paralysis and death.
• Systemic and translaminar movement within the plant gives protection against sucking pests as well as chewing/boring larvae.
• Fast knockdown action limits ongoing crop damage soon after spraying.

Directions for Use

• Apply as a uniform foliar spray when pests first appear or according to pest monitoring, following the crop-wise rate below.
• Calculated on the basis of a knapsack sprayer, using approximately 6 tank-loads of spray solution per acre.
• Re-entry period after spraying: 24 hours.
• Apply 1–2 times per crop season, at 7–10 day intervals depending on pest pressure.

Recommended Rate

Target Crops

Paddy, beans and pulses, tomato, chili, cabbage, cauliflower and maize.

Target Pests

Leaf folders, thrips, hispa, leaf rollers, aphids, whiteflies, pod borers, fruit borers, diamondback moth and fall armyworm.

Precautions

• Wear gloves, a face mask, boots, a long-sleeved shirt, long trousers, goggles and a hat when spraying.
• Do not let the spray touch the eyes or skin directly.
• Avoid inhaling spray mist or dust.
• Do not eat, chew betel, smoke or drink water while handling the product.
• Wash hands and feet thoroughly with soap after handling.
• Wash contaminated clothing thoroughly after spraying.
• Do not spray against the wind.
• Do not spray near fish ponds or beekeeping areas.

First Aid

• If in eyes: rinse gently and thoroughly with plenty of water, holding the eyelids open; remove contact lenses after 5 minutes and continue rinsing. Seek medical treatment if irritation persists.
• If on skin: remove contaminated clothing; wash affected skin and hair thoroughly with soap and water; seek medical advice.
• If inhaled: move the patient to fresh air and keep them calm; give oxygen only via trained personnel; seek medical treatment.
• If swallowed: if the patient is conscious, rinse the mouth with water; if unconscious, do not give anything by mouth; do not induce vomiting unless advised by a doctor or poison control centre; take the patient to the doctor together with the container/label.
• Seek medical advice and treatment in all cases.

Antidote

No specific antidote. Treat symptomatically according to signs of poisoning.

Storage & Disposal

• Store in the original tightly closed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
• Do not store for long periods in direct sunlight.
• Keep well away from children, animals, food, seed and fertilizer.
• Do not reuse empty containers for any purpose; bury them deep in the ground.
• Do not wash spray equipment or empty containers in rivers, streams, canals or ponds.
• Do not burn or dump.

• Carbo 20 သည် Group 1A (Carbamate) ထိသေ၊ စားသေနှင့် စိမ့်ဝင်အာနိသင်ရှိသော ပိုးသတ်ဆေးဖြစ်ပါသည်။
