Product Description

Coral Mite King (Pyridaben 15% EC) is a contact and stomach-acting acaricide/miticide formulated as an Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC), belonging to the Pyridazinone chemical group. It controls mites and red spider mites on cabbage, cauliflower, citrus, pulses, tomato, ornamentals (rose, jasmine) and cotton.

Mode of Action

• Coral Mite King is a Group 15 (Pyridazinone) acaricide that acts by contact and ingestion.
• It disrupts mitochondrial electron transport in the mite's respiratory system, cutting off its energy supply.
• It is effective against eggs, larvae and adult mites, giving good residual control across the mite life cycle.
• Recommended as part of a resistance-management rotation with acaricides from other groups.

Directions for Use

• Apply as a uniform foliar spray, with special attention to the underside of leaves where mites colonise, following the crop-wise rate below.
• Calculated on the basis of a knapsack sprayer at the water volume per acre shown below.
• Re-entry period after spraying: 24 hours.
• Apply 2–3 times per crop season, at 7–16 day intervals depending on mite pressure.

Recommended Rate

Target Crops

Cabbage, cauliflower, citrus, beans/green gram, tomato, black gram, rose, jasmine and cotton.

Target Pests

Mites and red spider mites; also active against whitefly present alongside mite infestations.

Precautions

• Wear gloves, a face mask, goggles, a long-sleeved shirt, long trousers and a hat during mixing and spraying.
• Avoid direct contact of the spray with eyes and skin, and avoid inhaling spray mist.
• Do not eat, chew betel, smoke or drink while handling or spraying the product.
• Wash hands thoroughly with soap after handling; wash contaminated clothing thoroughly after use.
• Do not spray against the wind.
• Toxic to aquatic life — do not contaminate ponds, rivers or water sources; do not spray near fish or bee-keeping areas.

First Aid

• Remove contaminated clothing immediately.
• Wash affected skin thoroughly with soap and water.
• If in eyes, rinse gently with plenty of water for several minutes.
• If inhaled, move the person to fresh air and keep them calm.
• If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; seek medical advice immediately and show the container/label to the doctor.
• Seek medical advice and treatment in all cases.

Antidote

No specific antidote. Treat symptomatically according to signs of poisoning.

Storage & Disposal

• Store in the original tightly closed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
• Keep away from children, animals, food, animal feed, seed and fertilizer.
• Do not reuse empty containers for any purpose.
• Do not wash spray equipment or empty containers in rivers, streams or ponds; bury empty containers deep in the ground, away from water sources.
• Do not burn or dump.
